Sub Coach Privacy Policy
In short: Sub Coach doesn't collect any personal information. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking, and the app never sends your data to us or to any server. Your team's information stays on your device. It's shared only when you choose to share it with coaches standing nearby, directly over Bluetooth.
Who we are
Sub Coach is published by Games By Post LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information in the Sub Coach app for iPhone and iPad.
Information you enter
To plan lineups you enter information such as player names, the positions each player can play, playing-time preferences, saved lineups, game settings, and a name for yourself that other coaches see when you share. This information:
- is stored only on your device, inside the app;
- is never sent to us or to any server, and we have no way to see it;
- is deleted when you delete the app.
Because player names are often children's names, you may prefer to use first names or nicknames. The app works the same either way.
Sharing with nearby coaches (Bluetooth)
Sub Coach lets you share your roster, or broadcast a game in progress, to other coaches standing nearby. This only happens when you tap Share in the roster or turn on Broadcast in Game Day.
- Information goes directly from your device to theirs over Bluetooth. It does not pass through the internet or any server.
- Nearby coaches receiving a share are asked to accept it first. What they accept is saved on their device and is then under their control.
- While sharing or broadcasting is turned on, anyone nearby who has Sub Coach open can receive it. Turn sharing off when you're done (closing the Share screen or turning off Broadcast stops it).
- Sharing includes your coach name, the roster (player names, positions and playing-time preferences), and for a broadcast, the game's lineup and clock.
The app asks for Bluetooth permission so it can share and receive. You can turn this off at any time in your device's Settings. Everything except sharing keeps working without it.
Notifications and the lock screen
If you allow notifications, Sub Coach schedules substitution alerts and shows a game countdown on your lock screen. These are created on your device. No push notification service or server is involved.
What we don't do
- We don't collect, store, sell or share personal information.
- We don't use analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs.
- We don't use your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
Children
Sub Coach is designed for coaches, not children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and the app doesn't send any information to us.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
